John Visited Autosport International where a number of new contacts from MIA (Motorsports Industry Association) were exhibiting. The show ran for 4 days with two trade only days.
Met Fiona Aylett on the MIA hospitality stand to discuss how The Exhibiting Agency can support their members whenever they need help at Shows. A partnership with them is to be agreed in March.
Reviewed Titan, and Turbosmart stands – still much we can help them with in future.
Lively and exciting show. John ended up buying an electric shoulder and neck massager… helps when clients become a pain in the neck.
As is becoming the norm – the first Live Marketing Masterclass of the year – John presented to members of the MIA (Meetings Industry Association) at Friends House, London.
This time around John shared the stage with Rose McDonald of RobinsonCollege – find them on twitter @RobCollConf.
Although statistics looking better, still 40% of those who exhibit did not know what results they achieved at their last exhibition. Another nearly 20% claimed to have broken even.
Their highlights of learning included:
“How to further commercial turnover and coaching staff to be
better rehearsed, aims of what to get out of each trade show”“The session was knowledgeable / Interactive”
“Using numbers with outcomes – a more pragmatic approach”
“Setting objectives. Ratios”
European Springs & Pressings Ltd are exhibiting at Southern Manufacturing and Electronics 2015 –10th – 12th February 2015.
They attended the IST (Institute of Spring Technology) Exhibiting Mini Masterclass last year and decided to hire The Exhibiting Agency to help them with their approach at this exhibition.
Undertaking an In-house workshop encompassing many different staff from different divisions within the company they came away with a diametrically opposite view about how to exhibit in the future.
Key learnings included:
“Machines are not needed on stands.”
“Creation of post-exhibition Seminars.”
“Selling the next contact/engagement is key.”
“Promote our Brand – the products will sell themselves.”
Good luck at Southern Manufacturing with some new techniques.
